coco-lagerfeld: RAD HOURANI SPRING 2013 COUTURE ANDROGYNY AT ITS BEST. The Jordan designer’s debut in the haute couture scene was a pure homage to his unisex aesthetic. Using only black and white, he presented geometrical looks, layered pieces, razor-sharp tailoring, and modern coats.  It was a celebration of the Rad-clientele. Biker-chic, androgynous models were sent down the runway in his trademark structural and layered pieces. The collection was a modern approach to couture, sans the embellishments and expensive yards of fabric. Thank good fashion heavens there’s Hourani and Margiela to kill the boredom exuded by billions of beads, swarovskis, and diamonds every couture season!! WERQQQ!!!

Couture is about concept, art, and execution. The team behind Maison Martin Margiela presented a breathtaking collection for its second couture line.  The Maison sent an army of faceless models, a classic Margiela act. The newest member of the Chambre syndicale de la haute couture stunned the Parisian fashion scene with the use of unconventional techniques and materials like paint-splatters, feather, excess fabrics, and tinsels for its new collection. While Raf Simons presented an ultra-modern, yet ultra chic flower-inspired collection for the House of Dior yesterday, Karl Lagerfeld proved the world that he is still the unparalleled king of French Couture. The Kaiser sent an army of models clad in iconic tweed coats, tulle dresses, lace ensembles, and floral gowns.  The lace boots are beyond perfection!! Floral details! Cascades of tulle. Chanel Chic at its very best. The colour-combination reminds me of Miuccia Prada’s last collection. feathers and leather. ICONIC.  Cara!! Ethereal Brides ALL HAIL THE KAISER!!! WERQQQ!!!

coco-lagerfeld: CHRISTIAN DIOR SPRING 2013 COUTURE It was a defining moment in Fashion history. Raf Simons’ latest collection for the House of Christian Dior (his second couture show) was enveloped with a magical air of grandeur and extreme sophistication. The collection was a homage to one of the house’s prime muses: flowers. Simons weaved his own ode to the flowers just like his predecessors (Dior, Saint Laurent, Galliano) did before, by showing a collection celebrating the dior woman. A woman with refined manners, unparalleled elegance, and lavish taste. A woman as beautiful as blooming flowers. There’s this polished cleanliness in Raf’s clothes that intensifies the beauty and magic of the collection.  Im sure this dress will be a red-carpet favorite A new generation of Dior-Chic Divine details! I kinda miss John Galliano’s majestic embroidery. Well, here’s Raf Simons’ take on floral appliques!  Fantastic!!! They’re like dryads and flower fairies coming out from that magical forest!!
